All of the little ones and their families decided that we should get together somewhere that Colvin, Ellen, Nicky, and Annie would not have to travel so far. We agreed on Destin, Florida. To celebrate Jay's graduation, and also see some of the country that we had never visited before, we decided to leave early, drive through the Smoky Mountains, and tour the Carolinas as we then headed south for Florida. We had a great time with just our kids, and with everyone else's kids, as well as Mother and Dad. We were also glad that we could celebrate Shawn, Ellen, and Colvin's birthdays while we were in Destin together. The trip turned out to be a great mix of nature, food, fun, and family. We had really great weather throughout, but discovered that when we would leave a place, it would get flooding rains shortly thereafter. Hopefully we didn't have anything to do with the hurricane that hit Destin in the fall.
