This trip in June was our second year to meet all together in Florida. Jay and Melissa couldn’t join us this year. Jay was getting ready for marriage in July and Melissa was in summer school. Laura and I left a few days early for some looks at the birds and flowers along the way. We stopped at Caddo Lake State Park and the Lily Farm near Nacogdoches, TX. Both were beautiful and a lot of fun.
Colvin and Ellen arrived first at “The Plantation” on St. George Island and got everything arranged with the real estate agency for the rest of us. After spending another wonderful week together with Mom and Dad, Robin, Shawn, Tyler, and Tanner, Holly, Danny, Courtney, and Connor, and Colvin, Ellen, Nicky and Annie, we left a day early to get out of the way of Tropical Storm Arlene. Arlene looked like it was going to strengthen to a hurricane (which it didn’t quite make) and cross our path on the way home just as we were travelling along the coast on I-10. We all made it out without too much bad weather. While we were at St. George, the weather was great and we all had tons of fun.
