Random Recollections

• On the second day of our journey, we drove from Shreveport to Jack Carpenter’s Lily Farm east of Nacogodoches, TX. It had several acres of day-lilies, row after row after row. They are one of the premier cross-breeders of these beautiful flowers.
• They allow you to enter the Lily Farm free of charge and wander the grounds without restrictions. You can take all of the pictures you want. You can buy any of the flowers you see, but they are quite expensive.
• After we spent most of the morning admiring the flowers, we headed for southern Louisiana.
